About us

Seugagogo Aoga Amata is dedicated to providing high-quality early
learning and childcare rooted in Samoan culture and values.

Our Story

Seugagogo Aoga Amata Pre-School has a humble beginning, starting as a playgroup near Auckland’s Ōtāhuhu town centre in the early 1990s. It was founded by ministers’ wives from the Ekalesia Fa’apotopotoga Kerisiano Sāmoa (EFKS) church. Their vision was to create a space where their children could gather and immerse themselves in their first language, Gagana Sāmoa.

Gogo Sina

A Gogo Sina is a white tern bird in Samoan. This bird is known for flying high, and only the most experienced individuals, known as tamali’i or tautai matapalapala, can capture them. This name reflects our commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment where children can soar to great heights, guided by experienced hands.
