Our People
At Seugagogo Aoga Amata Pre-School, our team is fundamental to our mission.
Originating as a space where children could connect with their Samoan heritage through language and community, every staff member continues to play a key role in nurturing this connection. We are committed to supporting our team in fostering the development of each child, providing the resources and encouragement needed to maintain our tradition of care and cultural education.
Our faiaoga are dedicated to their professional development, with two of our young teachers set to graduate soon with Bachelor’s degrees in Education. They are committed to fostering vibrant learning environments that encourage exploration and deepen connections to Samoan heritage. At Seugagogo Aoga Amata, we maintain a superior teacher-to-child ratio, ensuring personalized attention and nurturing that enhances each child’s development.

Seugagogo Aoga Amata Pre-School was featured as part of the Tāfesilafa’i initiative, highlighted in an article and video by The Spinoff. This community-led program supports the wellbeing and development of Samoan early childhood education centers in Auckland, including Seugagogo. It focuses on enhancing educational practices in a culturally responsive manner and provides professional development opportunities for teachers.
